Summary

The Media Specialist supports the VSGC director and staff with graphics, photography, videography, website management and social media content. The position creates various digital and print materials including graphics, marketing and branding products, websites, social media content, video productions, and event photography.  The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits in a positive work environment.



Job Responsibilities:
  • Create graphics for print and online such as logos, flyers, posters, brochures, banners and exhibits for a variety of VSGC programs.
  • Photograph VSGC events, including week-long summer academies, as well as post-production editing and posting to Flickr and multiple social media channels.
  • Shoot video for high-profile VSGC events and week-long summer academies as well as video production, posting to YouTube and sharing on social media.
  • Shoot interviews for VSGC video productions: setup lighting, audio, backdrops, cameras, and sometimes a teleprompter in a wide variety of settings and lighting conditions.
  • Serve as webmaster to maintain and update all VSGC websites and create new WordPress sites as needed.
  • Serve as content creator and manager for VSGS social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well as the VSGC website blog.
  • Digital asset management of photographs, videos, graphics, and websites.
  • Other duties as assigned.
