Old Dominion University’s Office of Enterprise Research and Innovation’s (OERI) Spectrum Advanced Training Technology Laboratory, in support of OUSD R&E, seeks an IV&V Director with strong verification and validation skills in systems engineering. The IV&V Director is responsible for overseeing the verification and validation processes of software systems, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications. The IV&V Director is responsible for leading and managing the Independent Verification and Validation activities for software development and implementation projects. This role ensures that all software products meet the required standards, perform as intended, and fulfill customer requirements.
Minimum requirements: Knowledge is typically acquired through an advance degree resulting in a Masters or equivalent experience (25+ years) in data and computer science, systems engineering, information technology and/or any other closely related field. Systems Engineering, Working with federal contractors and government employees. U.S. citizen, qualify for Tier 2, National Security Clearance for Secret Information.
Preferred qualifications: Previous leadership role in a research center, federal government, or equivalent setting, demonstrating the ability to navigate research and engineering environments. Masters Systems Engineering or related field. Senior leadership experience dealing with multiple stakeholders across government and prime contractors.
