- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline (completed by the start date) - Demonstrated research experience in any relevant area - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
- Conduct independent and collaborative research - Contribute to manuscripts, reports, and grant proposals - Present research findings at meetings or conferences - Mentor students and participate in collaborative research groups
The College of Arts & Letters fosters scholarship and creative activity across the humanities, arts, and social sciences. With research strengths in communication, creative writing, fine arts, history, literature, music, philosophy, political science, sociology, theatre, and cultural studies, Arts & Letters provides an interdisciplinary environment where postdoctoral researchers can explore the intersections of culture, technology, and society while contributing to ODU’s broader strategic priorities.

Final salary offers may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and budget availability. The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 – $70,000 annually.
