Summary

The Old Dominion University Research Foundation seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The candidate will be developing a copula-based multi-series statistical model for count time series, with application to the PIs TimeScapes package. Applying structural change-point analysis to event detection in molecular simulations. Incorporating Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) within the copula framework to model causal interdependence between series-level activity and dependency between amino acids, revealing allosteric mechanisms within proteins. 

Education and/or training: PhD in Mathematics and or Statistics

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Solid understanding and experience with the following research topics:

  • Software development in R and Python
  • Mathematical modeling

Final salary offers may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and budget availability. The anticipated salary range for this position is $63,480 - $66,948
