Summary

The Project & Program Manager provides leadership, coordination, and administrative oversight for multiple organizational initiatives. This role manages projects from initiation through completion while supporting program governance, stakeholder engagement, reporting, budgeting, scheduling, documentation, and continuous process improvement. The position serves as the central point of coordination between project teams, leadership, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives.



Job Responsibilities:
  • Project/Program Management: Planning, execution, stakeholder management, etc.
  • Program Coordination & Governance: Portfolio oversight, reporting, risk management, etc.
  • Project Administration: Documentation, scheduling, budget tracking, meeting coordination, etc.
  • Resource Management: Oversee project and program resources. Acquire new resources are projects demand. Maintain oversight of existing resources, including government furnished equipment.

Education and/or training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Level and type of experience:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience coordinating and managing projects or programs.

  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and organizational priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.

  • Some experience preparing reports, maintaining project documentation, tracking budgets, and coordinating project schedules.

  • Some experience or knowledge about using project management methodologies and project tracking tools.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Some knowledge of project and program management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and performance monitoring.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, facilitate meetings, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and project requirements; exercise sound judgment; identify risks; and recommend practical solutions.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail, adapting to changing priorities, and ensuring timely completion of assigned projects and program activities.

  • Ability to maintain accurate project documentation, safeguard confidential information, and promote continuous improvement through efficient processes and effective project management practices.

Other:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

  • Experience with or willingness to learn project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or similar applications.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Final salary offers may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and budget availability. The anticipated salary range for this position is: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00
