This position involves participation in behavioral and sleep research involving animals. Duties will include assisting in small animal experimentation including behavioral observation, scoring sleep, data entry and analysis and histology. The individual will also assist with animal surgeries and general lab upkeep, maintaining supplies, and animal handling and husbandry.
Behavioral Testing in rats and mice.
Record keeping and ordering supplies.
Scoring sleep and data analysis.
Animal husbandry and lab upkeep cleaning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreeExperience or willingness to learn animal research techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior work with animal research, computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel),
1-2 years working in animal research.
Neuroscience or psychology field of study.
